My friends are not into this sort of buying. I happen to love it but I cannot give my friends E-Mail when I know they don't approve. Why should I be punished for what my friends choose not to do. Seems unfair

I agree, this still is really unfair for those who do not have scores of friends online who are interested in this thing or not. It all seems to just be ideeli's way to expand the community, regardless of whether the current members are content or not. Why would they care...with each giveaway theyre getting hundreds of new members!

I am not convinced they even really give anything away - I think it might all just be a ploy to keep people checking the site....

So, you have to be a US resident to be a member?! How come?!

Why would I want to recruit new members, which only decreases my own chances of winning a giveaway and increases the chance of a sellout before I have a chance at something?

I agree. The tell a friend thing is annoying. I emailed an invite to all my friends after the Balenciaga giveaway. Like 100 invites. Like 7 joined. I refuse to continue bombarding my friends with emails to join if they don't want to. So from now on I'm a 1 entry kinda gal.

Can someone please confirm that someone actually wins these? And what do they do with the prizes if they aren't claimed??

It doesn't seem to matter what you do to enter - unless you're a 1st Row member, you never win. I know over 40 people signed up on this site, and everytime a 2nd Row member enters a giveaway they're given a generated entry number with letters and numbers in it. The 1st Row members always get a generated entry number with only numbers in... the winners for every contest I've ever seen run on this site are always entry numbers with ONLY numbers in them. It's a ripoff.

Its just a way to get us to to do thier work for them...and it only cost them $1300 instead of advertising which would cost waaaay more. This sort or incentive is an insult to the exsisting customers.

I find it ironic that no one from ideeli has bothered to respond to numerous comments left about the winners of giveaways.
I still want to know ideeli- do only first row members win the giveaways (if you do actually give anything away at all)?
Sorry for leaning towards the pessimistic side of things, but somehow I find it very questionable. The comments from winners are not truly comments from the blog post, they are posted by ideeli.
I enjoy this website, but I have less of a likelihood of passing on good praises if the giveaways are false or for only first row members or particular questions purposely go unanswered.

I feel it is a rip off that you have to pay to shop on a website. No other shopping clubs charge members. I understand it is a choice but not one that I am able to make even if I wanted to because the system will not allow me. My computer says their site has errors on it and will not allow the transaction to go thru. Has anyone else had this problem?
Everyone should be able to have access at the same time. And the other sites charge one shipping fee for your entire purchase whether it is one item or ten items.
