Reserving an Item
Congratulations! You've decided on a new bag or necklace or fabulous leather belt, and you want to reserve the item before the event ends.
As you know, ideeli is growing every day, and popular items often sell out quickly. With ideeli's new design, you may have had the experience of clicking on "I Want it!" during an event, only to find the item is no longer in your Shopping Cart when you go to Check Out. We wanted to clarify why ...
Once you've chosen an item, click "I Want It!" on the event page. The item will appear in your Shopping Cart, but it is not yet reserved.
To reserve the item, click on "Check Out." You will see your item(s) on the right-hand side of the reservation page, under "You are buying..." At this point, you have 5 minutes to complete the transaction in order to purchase your item(s), or your order will automatically be cancelled and the item removed from your cart.
Quick tip: remember to click on "Check Out" to reserve your products, each and every time you shop!

Finding Specs and Sizes
With ideeli's new and improved design, we want to be clear on how shoppers can easily view their product's specs and sizes (for example: size, weight, fabric) when perusing various events.
Coming Soon
1. Click on the larger photo for any one of the featured products and a new window will pop up.
2. Scroll down to view specs and sizes, which is at the bottom of the popup.
The Latest
1. Enter the event and select the item you'd like to view.
2. Specs and sizes are on the lower half of the page below the product name.
Balenciaga Giveaway and Fun Facts
Congratulations to Sharon on winning this amazing Balenciaga giveaway. ideeli and all the 641 commenters hope you are the envy of all your friends.
As some of you pointed out 641 comments was the most ever for an ideeli event. Coinciding with record amount of comments we had the highest entries for a giveaway at 17,790.
What many of you didn't notice was a test we ran during this giveaway. We extended entry time from 3 hours to 7 to allow those who've commented about not being able to enter during the day a few hours after work to enter. Please leave your feedback about the extended entry time in the comments below. Was this enough time? Should entry time be shorter or longer? Did those of you who couldn't normally enter do so this time?
Many of you have pondered about the random numbers of each giveaway winner and how often the random number is much higher than total entries. Without getting into a lot of tech jargon each member who enters is provided a completely random number based on database row. It is for this reason a winner may have entry number 27419.

Many of you have commented about delayed receipt of ideeli emails. In particular members using both Yahoo or Comcast email addresses have experienced a significant lag time in delivery due to their aggressive spam filtering. We are currently addressing this issue with these service providers. Typically, this is a long process.
In the meantime, it may be in your best interest as an ideeli shopper to open a gmail account, as our delivery tests have shown that gmail accounts receive ideeli@ideeli.com emails within a few minutes of when we send them. It is free to sign up; just type "www.gmail.com" into your web browser and follow the instructions to create an account. They even provide a guide for switching email providers here. You can change your email address for your ideeli profile by going to "My Account" and clicking in the "Password & Email" tab.

Michael Kors Giveaway

As many of you have asked about real photos and not avatars each and every member is welcome to upload a personal photo. Here are instructions to do so:
- Go to My Account in the upper right
- Click the About you tab
- You will see a field called "Your Picture" with a browse button
- Browse and upload your favorite pic of yourself
- Hit Save

Prices Return to ideeli
We've been following the comments everyone has posted about the new site design. By far the most common comment has revolved around ideeli no longer showing prices ahead of events.
In the old design, ideeli showed pricing for only one item. When we first got started, we often only had one product for sale, so it was relevant to post its price. Now that we often have many different products per event, and since it's not possible to provide pricing (or product information) for all styles in advance of the event's start, we didn't feel it was beneficial to show the price for only one item of many. In this we aren't alone; other private shopping sites don't offer any advance pricing information.
As you all know, our goal is to offer the ideel shopping experience, and we are grateful for your comments. A number of you have indicated that you use the pricing information to plan what you're going to shop for. To accommodate that need, we are going to try providing some pricing information in a new way.
Going forward you can now find starting prices for each event at the bottom of the editorial. The sentence will appear like this, "ideeli prices for this event start at $__". This will clue all ideeli members into the entry level price point for each sale.
This change is effective immediately and all editorials have been updated accordingly. You will now see these prices in the Coming Soon email each Monday.
It's not possible to tell you all of the price points and styles available in each sale, but we hope this is helpful. Let us know what you think. Send your thoughts/comments to feedback@ideeli.com or reply to this blog post. Please don't comment on this issue in the sale discussion forum. Those forums are for sale and item specific questions.

"Notify Me" ideeli!
Thanks to recent upgrades, members now have better ways than ever to stay up-to-date on our upcoming online shopping events and exciting giveaways.
"Coming Soon" Menu Bar
Now members can choose which events to be notified about right on the "Coming Soon" menu bar. By deselecting the checkmark on the small grey box in the upper right corner of an image, members can opt out of notification.
"Event Details" Page
Members can also opt out of notification for a specific event by deselecting the checkmark on the box next to the large product image on the "Event Details" page for that event.
All Notifications
Additionally, ideeli members can opt out of all event notifications. Simply log into "my account", choose the "Password & email" tab and update your preferences in the "ideeli notification settings" section.
We hopes these changes help reduce email clutter while still allowing members to stay informed about our fabulous shopping events and giveaways!

What is an ideeli event?
An ideeli event is just that - an exciting event consisting of either products for sale or special giveaways. All events have secret start times, but members can be notified about them via email and text message.
No two events are the same. Our editors constantly add new events to ideeli's "Coming Soon" page, so that ideeli members stay in-the-know about the latest and greatest in fashion, beauty and home products.
Check out the "Coming Soon" page often to stay posted on the upcoming sales and giveaways that interest you. You can expect to be notified about these events within a few weeks from when items ared added to this section. However, you can also opt out of receiving an event notification by deselecting the check box within the event.
